Endorsements/Sponsorships are tricky. As musicians we all have needs, and 9 times outta 10 endorsement deals can ease the financial burden, but understand this... EVERY BAND HAS THESE SAME NEEDS, and these companies cannot support them all. All this having been said, A band MUST put themselves in a position to be able to RETURN THE FAVOR. Band MUST have a good tour schedule consisting of REGIONAL DATES at the bare minimum. Bands that only play LOCAL shows, have NO CHANCE. In regard to creating these relationships... the internet would appear to be the best most convenient way.... IT'S NOT!!! Would YOU be comfortable giving thousands of dollars worth of gear to a complete stranger? The ABSOLUTE BEST place to network with these types is the NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants). NAMM holds two events a year... One in Austin, TX in the summer, and one in Anaheim, CA in the winter. This years winter NAMM is Jan 19-22. Getting a badge to attend can be tricky. Do your homework, and find a way to attend... You'll be glad you did!!!!

Thank you for the input Jeff. Glad you brought up NAMM. Most of the Heralds are headed that way this year together as a band to invest in the experience. You heading to Anaheim this year?
I also wanted to add that some of the company websites that you may be interested in chasing after endorsements for have instructions on how to go about an application. Its a lot of work, business sense, and of course return on investment like you said. Good luck out there!
