We have our CDs and downloads available on all major online retailers but now we're ready to sell shirts and other merch. Amazon and ebay are secure, trusted and cheap but aren't setup for custom band merch. Can anyone recommend an online retailer to sell our custom merch? We would do all of the shipping and inventory, we just need a trusted source to handle credit card purchases. www.HELLPIE.com

To Hellpie- Hey guys, here's a suggestion...
Seeing as how you are one of the few bands that already has their own dot com... I would keep everything IN HOUSE and keep everyone else away from your profits. There are a bunch of online merchandise facilitators, but they DO take a percentage. Let's be REAL... the only people buying band merch are those who have already established a relationship with the band... or at least have become a fan. This being said, these potential buyers are more than likely aware that you have your own website. THAT'S THE BEST PLACE TO HANDLE BIZ.... facebook is a great place to communicate, but truth be told, we're all abit limited there. If you have any questions or would like to see an example, by all means, check out the merch page on the Project Independent site.
Hope this helps!!! Happy Holidays

Depending who you have your site hosted through they may provide those types of services as well.

You can setup a PayPal account and list your merch through that. It will keep track of your stock too, as long as you have your online supplies set aside from what you take with you to gigs. I found it really easy to use. You have to have a bank account setup, so you'll need a band account or use someone in the band that is trusted. Check it out: www.threatenol.com/shop.html
